"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth."
Haiti Mission Focus
Several years ago, Cornerstone realized we could make more of a lasting impact in our outreach if we chose one specific place in the world to be our international mission. We like to refer to it as "hitting one nail and driving it deep.” Cornerstone is very involved with efforts in Haiti, including 17 trips in 15 years, domestic volunteer efforts and financial support. Our congregation is committed to meeting the needs of the people in Haiti. Pastor Mike Vauters has personally invested in and mentored the pastors of the Central Plateau Region of Haiti in an ongoing training conference, held twice a year. Over 50 Cornerstone members have been to Haiti, while the rest are passionate about being involved there.
Fundraisers for Haiti
We provide several fundraisers throughout the year for the church to help support Haiti, our global mission focus. 50% of the money raised provides the means to participate in Christmas Bags for Haiti. The other 50% of the money meets emergency and humanitarian needs in Haiti.
Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction
Each February, Cornerstone hosts a pancake breakfast and silent auction. The silent auction is comprised of items and services provided by people in the church. All proceeds from both the breakfast and the auction go towards our efforts in Haiti.
Every year in May, the USPS Rural Carriers Association hires Cornerstone to assemble and mail their ballots for their annual election of officers. For completing this service, Cornerstone earns $800 to support Haiti missions.
Pie and Dessert Auction
Every September, Cornerstone hosts the Pie and Dessert Auction. Members are encouraged to bring pies and baked goods to sell. All desserts sold in the auction raises money for Haiti missions.
Haiti Christmas Bag Assembly
Money raised from yearly fundraisers is used to assemble bags with toys and supplies for kids in Haiti. These efforts are done in conjunction with Christmas Bags for Haiti. Visit the website link below to find out more about their ministry.

Local Ministry Partners
American Red Cross
Cornerstone has a good relationship with the Red Cross and participates in a smoke alarm replacement program for residents as well as being a designated Red Cross emergency shelter.
Christ Provisions helps to fund missions, through generous donors nationwide, so that the faithful missionaries they support can build relationships, provide needs and minister the word to areas they are called to serve. Cornerstone is a financial supporter and has members who serve as missionaries that are funded through Christ Provisions.
Cornerstone has a long standing partnership with the school, the staff and the administration. We serve them in many ways throughout the year. Some of those include giving gifts to the teachers during special times of the year, Christmas gifts for needy families, I-STEP testing preparation, summer fun clubs and more.
Habitat For Humanity
Our partnership with Habitat is three-fold. We partner with Habitat to help administer the Brush with Kindness program for local home owners. This program helps to make exterior home repairs for those who would otherwise be unable to do it themselves. We also work with Habitat on neighborhood revitalization through the Edgelea Coalition. Finally, Cornerstone works with Habitat on city-wide initiatives in their home building ministry.
Trinity Life Ministry
Trinity has a strong residential treatment program for men who struggle with alcohol/drug addictions. Cornerstone supports Trinity financially, provides chapel speakers on occasion, holds monthly Sunday lunches and gatherings, provides counseling, and provides weekly bible studies to the men and their families once graduated from the program.
